Who are we?

Staffordshire North and Stoke on Trent Citizens Advice has been successful in obtaining funding from The Big Lottery to enable Financial Capability Training to continue throughout Staffordshire North and Stoke-on-Trent under the name Potteries MoneyWise.


Staffordshire North and Stoke on Trent Citizens Advice has been instrumental in delivering Financial Capability Training for several years now, and has unrivalled local experience of specialist debt advice.

How can we help you?

Potteries Moneywise is a financial inclusion training package of information and skills designed to help people manage their money better.  The sessions are free, interactive and participate and can be delivered as a 1:1 session or in a group environment.


We can also offer the same service for Energy related issues.


Potteries Moneywise is available to tenants of Social Housing properties and Private Rented in the North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent area.


Social Housing includes:


•    Stoke-on-Trent City Council
•    Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council
•    Aspire Housing
•    Staffordshire Housing Association
•    YMCA
•    Midland Heart
•    Sanctuary Housing
•    EPIC
•    Affinity Sutton
•    Hostels


The service is also available to Front Line Staff of organisations within North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.

Staffordshire North and Stoke on Trent Citizens Advice have recently been successful in obtaining funding from Comic Relief to enable Financial Capability Training to be delivered to customers who have a hearing impairment, throughout Staffordshire North and Stoke-on-Trent under the name MoneySkills for the Hearing Impaired.


We identified that customers from the Deaf Community were not accessing our services due to the communication barrier.


This service is available to customers who live in North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent and who are:


•    Deaf
•    Hard of hearing
•    Partially deaf
•    Deaf/blind
•    Suffer from Tinnitus
